michaeldavidfriberg:

Over the weekend I went to Nebraska for the Harvest the Hope concert with Willie Nelson and Neil Young. The idea was to shoot a portrait series with local activists, native americans and then also shoot portraits of Willie and Neil but publicists did what they do best and impeded my art. This is the best shot I got of them during a Buffalo wrapping ceremony with local Tribes.

—> Old No. 1 is my favorite album of all time. Essential!
—> The 1978-1981 albums have some good songs, but feature a rather dated production.
—> The live albums are fun, but more for the dedicated fan. The ACL 1989 DVD is pretty cool, though.
—> The tribute is one of the best I’ve ever come across: double CD, lots of highlights, moving tribute made with love and care.
—> Be Here To Love Me has some very funny and touching bits with Guy & Susanna (Townes’ best friends).
—> Both the Heartworn Highways DVD and CD are also absolutely essential!
